Where do they get off calling this a beginner's guitar? I've had lots of guitars in my time and this is one of the finest...not the most elaborate, but definitely one of the best. The only thing I found that made me give a four star out of five was that the "stick'em" pad used to hold the wiring onto the guitar came loose and was able to be seen thru the sound hole (easy fix with a little more glue and if that doesn't work, there's always velcro pads). Other than that, the tuner works perfectly, the sound both naturally and amplified is SUPERB, and the finish is exquisite!! Beginner guitar??? I think not...or you have unprecedented standards. This is a great guitar.

this is by far the best acoustic guitar Alvarez has ever made, it is well worth its money and it is fun and easy to play. i would recommend this guitar to anybody who plays the acoustic guitar

For the money a great guitar. Doesn't have the huge bass of a Martin, but also avoids the huge price tag. Electronics are good and the thing just purrs played fingerstyle.
